Tones & I has moved one step closer to making ARIA chart history after her global hit track Dance Monkey hit #1 on the Singles list for the sixth-straight week.
The May-released single is now equal second for most weeks at top spot on the chart by an Australian female solo artist, joining Kylie Minogue's I Should Be So Lucky (March, 1988) and Merril Bainbridge's Mouth (May, 1995).
If Dance Monkey manages to take out #1 again next week, it will equal Minogue's Locomotion for most weeks ever on top.
It comes as Tones & I's debut EP The Kids Are Coming placed at #3 on the Albums chart, while Dance Monkey also climbed the US and UK charts this past weekend, having already peaked at #1 in Denmark, Finland, Ireland, Norway and Sweden.
Following her highly-anticipated BIGSOUND shows last week, Tones & I will kick off a sold out headline tour of the country this month. For more details, head over to theGuide.
Tones & I appeared on The Green Room with Neil Griffiths backstage at Splendour In The Grass this past July just minutes after wrapping up her record-breaking opening set. Listen to the full episode on Spotify or Apple Podcasts below.
