Harts, Baskervillain & More Lead Jungle Love Festival's Stacked 2017 Line-up

Annual boutique event Jungle Love Music & Arts Festival has announced its first 25 acts for 2017, and organisers have once again pulled out all the stops in compiling a seriously impressive batch of sounds for the weekend-long festivities.

From a big name like Harts to established live favourites like Baskervillain, Golden Age Of Ballooning, Karl S Williams, Koi Child, Sex On Toast and Willow Beats to even international drawcards such as British fly-ins Henge and Z-Star, or Kiwi friends Weird Together, this year's Jungle Love is comprehensively set to build on the event's history as a destination event worth travelling for.

Filling out the first line-up announcement are the likes of Fight Ibis, Hemingway, Kallidad, Jouk Mistrow, The Mouldy Lovers and more, each act bringing a special flavour to the line-up in its efforts to include a li'l something for everyone.

Jungle Love's considerable music spread is further beefed out by the return of little-known feature the Kunst Klub, which takes an old shipping container and repurposes it as a soundproof nightclub (hell yeah), as well as the inclusion of a jam stage.

Otherwise, punters will be able to sate themselves in all manner of ways between the Arts Park or joining in the fun of the community-sourced Pub Choir, the poetry/song/spoken-word melee that is the Ruckus Slam, taking a dip in the lake for a spot of Water Aerobics, or getting saucy at Amy Jane's Late Night Cabaret.

The festival received a $10,000 grant from Tourism & Events Queensland as part of the sixth round of funding to be disseminated through the Queensland Destination Events Program, and it's evident that they're putting that money to good use in bringing the event to new heights as it steams towards its fourth instalment.

Part of that innovation can be found this year in the festival's collaboration with QUT students to bring sustainable architecture to the festival grounds, which will see the electronic stage (Jungle Boogie) and two bars built from scratch from materials found within a five-mile (about 8km) radius.

Jungle Love returns to Borumba Deer Park from 30 November to 2 December, and is a BYO event (no glass) but provides bars on-site.
