After an explosive ten-episode run, the return series of Spicks & Specks is drawing to a close this Sunday.

The original lineup of host Adam Hills and team captains Alan Brough and Myf Warhust has proven to be a ratings hit with online catch-up viewers, as well as seeing a steady viewership on Sunday nights when the show goes live.

The trio initially reunited in 2018 for a special Aus Music Month episode, which lead a number of special decade-specific eps over the following months.

After the specials saw huge numbers for the show, the three came together again for the current series which has featured the likes of G-Flip, Mitch Tembo, Alex Lahey, Mo'Ju and stacks more.

The final edition will see Aus music royalty Missy Higgins and comic staple Dave O'Neill take to Brough's team, while Warhust will finish out her run with Melbourne-based producer Yeo and comedian extraordinaire Judith Lucy.

While no word of another season has been announced at this time, the ratings may just be enough for the show to return sometime next year.

Keep an eye out at The Music for word on the future of the series.
