US rock stalwarts The Killers recently set up a little challenge on their social media for their fans to guess who they had secretly collaborated with on a new track, but it only took five hours for their mystery guest to spoil the fun.
Music legend Bruce Springsteen apparently didn't know the news was meant to be under wraps, announcing the track with the Brandon Flowers-led group while chatting on American broadcast Sirius XM’s E Street Radio.
“It’s [Flowers] and I with the band, we have done something that is going to come out soon, in a week or so,” he said during the chat.
The Killers were quick to laugh at the guff, taking back to their socials to say, "Looks like the cat’s out of the bag. When The Boss decides it’s time to make an announcement, it’s time to make an announcement."
Both artists have been busy as hell recently - The Killers were just announced to headline the inaugural Splendour XR Festival, while Springsteen is still going strong after celebrating 50 years in the business last year.
Stay tuned for more on the collab!
