Sampa The Great To Premiere New Show At Vivid LIVE

Sampa The Great is the first artist announced on this year's Vivid LIVE line-up. 

The Zambian-born, Melbourne-based artist will headline the Sydney Opera House on Sunday 8 August where she will share the world premiere of her new show, An Afro Future. 

"An Afro Future is coming to Australia this year! After an unexpected delay, we’re now able to bring our show to life at the Sydney Opera House, as part of Vivid LIVE," said Sampa The Great. 

“This musical and visual performance will serve as an imagining of creativity and culture - uninterrupted. An Afro Future allows us to dream, unbound by the constructs and obstacles that were created for us. 

“I can't wait to bring our musical family from across the seas for this monumental show!"

2021 is already off to a great start for the two-time Australian Music Prize winner, who kicked off the year with this incredible Tiny Desk performance.
