After being forced to cancel last year’s event due to COVID-19, the organisers behind RocKwiz’s Really Really Good Friday have announced the beloved event will make its return this April, taking over an iconic Melbourne venue.

The 2021 RocKwiz Good Friday performance will take place at Sidney Myer Music Bowl on April 2 as part of the venue’s Live At The Bowl series.

“To say I have missed performing with my RocKwiz brothers and sisters would be an understatement! I will be holding back tears when I step out on stage to a beautiful audience once again at the magnificent Bowl! Get ready to Rock!” Julia Zemiro added:

Brian Nankervis added: “We’re all flooded with memories of rock concerts we’ve seen there, but of course inspired by the big show we did there in March 2009; a sweltering night when Melbourne was getting over a hot summer of bushfires.

“We came together as a big, rowdy family for music, quizzing and pure fun to shake off the sadness of recent events. Sound familiar?

“Putting on our traditional Easter RocKwiz extravaganza at the Bowl is very exciting – a tonic for the RocKwiz gang to be back there! To have the opportunity to step out from the salubrious and sophisticated Hamer Hall, venture across St Kilda Road, through the gardens, up a hill and into the outdoor wonderland that is the Sidney Myer Music Bowl is a huge thrill!

“Come on people, join us in this magnificent space for a very special night. We need this!”

Zemiro and Nankervis will be joined on stage by the RocKwiz Orkestra and The Wolfgramm Sisters.
