Described as a “game-changing opportunity for songwriters and composers”, applications have opened for this year’s APRA Professional Development Awards.
The APRA AMCOS initiative, which has previously been awarded to Gotye, Briggs, Gordi, Ngaiire, Julia Jacklin, Ecca Vandal and more, will see artists across a number of categories pick up a $10,000 cash prize to support professional endeavours as well as musical gear and equipment.
Applications are also open for the Smugglers of Light Foundation ATSI Music and Media Award, a $12,000 award supported and assessed by the Smugglers of Light Foundation, set up in memory of Eli Westlake.
