All About Women festival will return to the Sydney Opera House on International Women's Day in 2020 and has today revealed the first line-up of events.
Adopting an "intersectional feminist lens to examine a range of topics impacting the everyday lives of women across generations in the post-#MeToo era", the line-up for the eighth iteration of the festival includes the likes of Chanel Miller, Lindy West, Judy Chang, Yumi Stynes and more.
Dr Edwina Throsby, Sydney Opera House Head of Talks & Ideas and All About Women Director, said this year's festival was all about community.
"For all of our glorious diversity, there’s still an awful lot we have in common, and this year’s festival is a place to celebrate and find power in our shared experiences," she shared.
"It’s like a great big group hug, but a lot more political (and a lot less creepy).”
The festival will feature solo talks, panel discussions and hands-on workshops.
Check out the first line-up below and follow the link here for further program details.
Tickets to the events go on sale to the general public this Friday 6 December with the second announcement coming early next year.
