The 2019 J Award winners have officially been announced! 

Melbourne's Sampa The Great (real name Sampa Tembo) has been the big winner of the day, taking out both Double J Artist Of The Year and triple j & Rage Australian Music Video Of The Year for her Final Form video, directed by Sanjay De Silva. 

This sees her beat out acts including Briggs, Flume, The Chats and Thelma Plum in the video category. Tembo was up against Julia Jacklin, King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard, Nick Cave and The Teskey Brothers in the Double J category. Tembo yesterday took out the award for the Best Hip Hop Act at the 2019 Music Victoria Awards


Tones & I has taken out this year's Unearthed Artist Of The Year award, beating Adrian Eagle, George Alice, Spacey Jane and The Chats. It's been a big week for Tones & I who just yesterday appeared on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon to perform her track Dance Monkey, as well as picking up the Outstanding Achievement Award at the Music Victoria Awards.

The first ever You Done Good Award has gone out to Cloud Control member Heidi Lenffer for launching renewable energy initiative FEAT., while Matt Corby's Rainbow Valley has taken out the triple j Australian Album Of The Year.
