Christmas Charity Concert At Brisbane's Crowbar Announced

Art As Catharsis has announced the details for the fourth iteration of its annual Christmas charity concert.

X-MESS IV will happen at Brisbane's Crowbar on Thursday 19 December, and features a stacked bill of 14 bands including HRBRT, Requin, Elder and LeSuits. 

All proceeds from the evening will be donated to The Smith Family. 

"What started as a lil' Christmas bash with a few friends' bands has evolved into a multi-stage monster over the past four years," founder Benjamin Shannon shared

"I decided to team up with one my favourite labels and dudes (John Russell, 4000 Records) in conjunction with experimental/progressive Australian label Art As Catharsis. I've always been a fan of all styles of music and am really proud this lineup can showcase that, and for a such a timely cause."

"It's very exciting for me to jump on board for the festival's fourth iteration," Russell added.

"We've helped expand the line-up from last year's six bands to 14 amazing artists this time around. We've also pushed the scope outside of a prog-rock and metal focus out to include an eclectic variety of genres."
