On the back of the 2020 Perth Festival program announce earlier this month, revered British poet and performer Kate Tempest has revealed a 2020 Australian tour.
Playing across the country in Perth, Melbourne, Brisbane and Sydney in February before heading to South Australia for Adelaide Festival, Tempest will perform works from her 2019 album, The Book Of Traps And Lessons alongside excerpts, poetry and commentary from her 2016 debut novel The Bricks That Built The Houses.
Last in the country in 2016, The Music's Hannah Story caught up with Tempest earlier this year to talk about her latest record and the importance of connection within a performance.
“When I'm performing I definitely want it to be hopeful," she said. "I want it to connect. My responsibility as a maker of artwork is to encourage an environment for connection.”
