EMI Music has today revealed a big recruitment to its A&R team.
Adam Booth (Weez), longtime manager of ARIA Award-winning producer Styalz Fuego, will join EMI's Melbourne-based team, having already worked closely with the EMI and Universal Music Australia teams through his management company, Calibre Artist Management (Thundamentals, 360).
“It’s an absolute honour to join EMI - a company, artist roster and team of staff I have admired my whole career," Weez said in a statement to The Music today.
"I would like to thank John O’Donnell, George Ash and Mark Holland for the opportunity and I look forward to the new challenges and great Australian music that lies ahead.”
Weez previously worked at Sony ATV Publishing Australia and was heavily involved in records from names like Peking Duk, Illy, Sarah Aarons and Hermitude.
