Much-loved community radio station PBS 106.7FM has today announced their 'Make It Home' fundraiser.
The Melbourne station is set to relocate to the new Collingwood Arts Precinct after 20 years in their existing building.
PBS is aiming to raise $1.5 million to cover the costs of moving, renovations and building a new studio, calling on the public to help by making a tax-deductible donation.
For anyone who donates over $1,067, they will receive a plaque in the new building. Creative Partnerships Australia will also match every dollar raised up to $50,000.
"Moving premises is not something most people look forward to," shared PBS' Acid Country host David Heard.
"Fortunately, PBS hasn't had to move very often in the 40 years of my involvement with the station. This next move promises to be our most exciting. We have faced many challenges in the past and are grateful for the support we have received from our members in dealing with them.
"It is to be hoped that our members will once again support us as we enter this new chapter of our journey."
