After spending 11 straight weeks at #1 on the ARIA Singles chart, Byron Bay-based artist Tones & I’s Dance Monkey might have finally met its match.

The single will have to fend off Justin Bieber’s new collab with Dan + Shay, 10,000 Hours, if it wants to continue its recording-breaking streak, with the trio’s recent cut expected to make its way into the top 3 this week.

Following Dance Monkey’s #1 spot last week, Tones & I now holds the record for most weeks at #1 on the chart by a female solo act, surpassing Whitney Houston and Sandi Thom, who both spent 10 weeks at #1.

Meanwhile, Dance Monkey has this week hit #1 on Spotify’s Global chart, while also entering the Billboard chart at #96.

On top of that, the local artist, who cleaned up at the 2019 ARIA Awards nominations, has also hit #1 Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Ireland, New Zealand, Norway, Sweden and Switzerland with Dance Monkey.

Back over to the Aussie charts, Grinspoon best of Chemical Heart is expected to debut in the ARIA Albums chart top 10, alongside Hillsong Worship’s Awake and Babymetal’s Metal Galaxy as Hayden JamesBetween Us moves into the top 20.

And, with rumours of a tour announcement brewing, Harry Styles’ new single, Lights Up, is expected to debut in the top 10 on the ARIA Singles chart.
