The Newtown Neighbourhood Centre (NNC) Festival Series returns in 2019 so basically your weekends are planned up to the end of November.
Introduced in 2017, the series will host a number of ancillary events in the lead-up to the huge Newtown Festival, providing an opportunity for NNC to collaborate with even more local businesses, creatives and community groups.
In 2019, organisers say "the series will provide something for everyone with kids workshops, intimate gigs, open air cinema and lessons in sustainability".

Newtown Festival will happen on 10 November this year and has already announced a huge program.
Described as a festival “by the people, for the people”, this year’s event will offer art, talks, markets, food and stacks more alongside a talent-packed local music line-up.
Artists already confirmed include Australia, The Buoys, The Delta Riggs, Godtet, The Goods and heaps more.
“Since last year’s festival, thanks to our community, we have been able to start two new local initiatives supporting people who are sleeping rough or at risk of homelessness in the Inner West,” NNC CEO Liz Yeo said.
“We have invested in providing volunteer and professional outreach to people sleeping on our streets, with the aim of building trust, community connection and ultimately securing housing for people. So far this year 13 people have been housed.
“We simply could not undertake these initiatives without the community’s support through Newtown Festival and our other fundraising activities.”
