As well as announcing a headline tour in support of their new single, Laugh About It, Sydney indie rockers STUMPS have been confirmed as the latest addition on the Cooking Vinyl Australia roster.
The four-piece join a roster that already boasts the likes of Parkway Drive, City & Colour, High Tension, Luca Brasi and Mia Dyson.
STUMPS will kick off their tour next weekend in Newcastle, before moving on to play in Marrickville, Mornington, Melbourne, Brisbane, Byron Bay, Orange, Wollongong and Coogee, as well as a set at Lost Paradise festival on 30 December.
“It seems to be an overused idiom to not sweat the small stuff, so we wanted to balance that cheesy candour in the bridge ‘Is this really what you want to hear?’" vocalist Kyle Fisher said of Laugh About It.
"It’s a song that embodies notions of joyous nihilism and societal questioning.
“Life is convoluted, and there is only one cheesy truth. So just have a laugh, ‘cause is there any point in doing anything else?"
