Angie McMahon, Mojo Juju and Ecca Vandal are among the winners of this year's APRA Professional Development Award.
The prize, which is awarded every two years, sees winners score a $15,000 cash prize as well as M50x Studio Headphones courtesy of Audio Technica and an ‘Aon Wallet’ Insurance Package.
“The calibre of the recipients of the Professional Development Awards signals the strength of Australian music," said APRA AMCOS Chief Executive Dean Ormston.
"Acknowledging and investing in our homegrown talent is crucial to their next career steps, and we look forward to seeing and hearing what the future holds for all of them."
Actor, songwriter and opera singer Jess Hitchcock has received the Indigenous Music and Media Award, which was presented by Smugglers Of Light. Hitchcock has been awarded a $12,000 grant.
