After kicking off their tour last week, The 1975 frontman Matty Healy joined The Green Room with Neil Griffiths podcast during their Sydney stop.

The Newcastle singer discussed the tour, as well as his personal relationship with fame and the band's forthcoming album, Notes On A Conditional Form, due out on 21 February next year.

"I started making it five days after [2018 LP A Brief Inquiry Into Online Relationships]," Healy told host Neil Griffiths.

"The idea of following up A Brief Inquiry as an idea... I only really realised that a couple of days ago.

"I look at [drummer George Daniel] and I'm like, 'Shit, we haven't thought about that at all.' We haven't even finished it... every song that will go on it is kinda there-ish. I just need to finish all the vocals and all the lyrics and get it all done."

The 1975's tour continues in Adelaide this Wednesday, while they are also confirmed to return to Australia in early 2020 to headline Laneway Festival
