Following the announcement that ARIA and YouTube Music had formed a partnership for the 2019 ARIA Awards, today it has been revealed the ceremony will be broadcast once again on the Nine Network.

“On behalf of the ARIA Board, we welcome back the Nine Network as our television broadcast partner for the ARIA Awards in 2019 and we look forward to working with Nine's CEO Hugh Marks and his team for a third year," said Denis Handlin AO, ARIA Chairman and Chairman and CEO of Sony Music Entertainment Australia and New Zealand and President of Asia.

"We are also thrilled to again have Destination NSW and The Star help us celebrate another outstanding year for Australian music at this year’s Awards.”

Hamish Turner, Nine Network Program Director, shared Handlin's sentiments saying, “We’re thrilled to welcome back the ARIA Awards on our screens for 2019, and champion some incredible Australian music in the process. For 32 years the ARIA Awards have delighted us with brilliant performances from some of the biggest names in music, and this year will be no different.”

Last year's ARIA Awards dominated social media but the results weren't as pleasing for the TV ratings. As TV Tonight reported, the Channel Nine broadcast drew an audience of 500,000, down on 2017's viewership of 515,000 and 2016's 586,000.

It still topped the 16-39 and 18-49 demographics, with 120,000 and 221,000 viewers respectively and the ARIA Awards' official red carpet stream drew over three million viewers across the near-three-hour broadcast.

The partnership with YouTube Music will also see the streaming giant broadcast the event live for the first time.

This year's ARIA Awards will take place on Wednesday 27 November at The Star Event Centre in Sydney.
