Things are certainly hot in radio right now and today sees the release of the the fifth round of ratings for 2019. Check out the metro figures below and click on the images for a larger version. See the July 2019 ratings here.

Sydney

KIIS FM's Kyle & Jackie O remain as Sydney's #1 FM breakfast show with an 11% share of the market, moving up 0.1% since last ratings. The duo are up 0.9% from their January ratings. WSFM's Jonesy & Amanda have held second place with an 8.2% market share (down 0.3%) while Nova's Fitzy & Wippa's breakfast program holds steady at 7.5%. Triple J's breakfast show with Ben & Liam is up 0.2% to a total of 4.4% market share.

Perhaps most significantly in the Sydney ratings is the 0.7% market loss for the 2Day FM's breakfast show with Grant Denyer, Ash London & Ed Kavalee, which was axed earlier this month. The slot, which pulled a 2.4% market share, now airs the 'Music For Breakfast; show with Jamie Angel. According to Sydney Morning Herald, the result is the station's worst since January 2015 when the Dan & Maz show scored the same market share.

Triple J sees a 0.2% growth (to 4%) in its mornings program, 0.5% growth (to 4.9%) in afternoons, drive remains steady at 5.5% while evenings sees a loss of 0.5% to land at 3.5% market share. 

Melbourne

Fox FM's breakfast program with Fifi, Fev & Byron has remained Melbourne's #1 breakfast program, despite a 0.5% loss taking them to 10% market share. Nova's Chrissie, Sam & Browny are still Melbourne's second most listened to breakfast show, up 0.4% to 8.6% market share. Gold FM comes in third with 8%, jumping a whopping 1% in the last ratings period, while Smooth FM sees a 0.2% growth to 8.6% and Triple M sees a loss of 0.1% to land at 0.1%. 

Triple J sees a substantial loss of 0.8% to land at 3.9% market share for its breakfast program, while the station only sees growth in its evening program this ratings period, which is up 0.1% to 3.4% market share. 

Brisbane

Nova FM's Brisbane breakfast program with Ash, Kip, Luttsy & Susie continues its growth, with the show claiming 12.7% market share of breakfast shows in Brisbane. They are up 0.9% on last ratings period. Triple M's breakfast with Marto, Robin & Nick Cody is just ahead of 97.3FM's breakfast with Bianca, Mike & Bob, at 11.2% and 11.1% respectively. Triple M also scores the title as Brisbane's most listened to mornings program, growing 2% to a total of 13%. 

Triple J sees incredible growth for its evening program with a whopping 2.3% increase, seeing it grab a 8.2% market share. 

Perth

Nova's growth in Perth continues from last rating's period, with breakfast increasing 1.3% to 15.5%, mornings 1.3% to 14% and afternoons 1.2% to 15.6%. The next closest station in the breakfast time slot is Mix FM, which has picked up a growth of 0.1% to sit at 11.4%. 

Triple J suffers a loss in every category in Perth, with breakfast down 2.6% (to 9.2%), mornings down 2.8% (to 8.5%), afternoons down 3.1% (to 9.4%), drive down 1.7% (to 10.1%) and evenings down 2% (to 11.8%). 

Adelaide

MIX102.3 holds its spot as Adelaide's most popular FM breakfast program scoring a 11.6% market share for this ratings period, with an impressive growth of 0.8% since last period. They're followed by Nova FM's show with Dylan Lewis & Hayley Pearson at 10.6% (up 0.9%). 

Triple J's breakfast program with Ben & Liam continues to see a loss in the city, with the former Adelaide-based presenters now holding a 5.4% market share, down 0.9% on the last ratings period. They previously saw a loss of 1.2%.
