Actor Peter Fonda has passed away, age 79.
In a statement released by Fonda's family it is confirmed that he passed away from respiratory failure due to lung cancer.
While best known for his work in the 1970 classic film Easy Rider, Fonda was also immortalised in the '90s indie dance anthem Loaded by Primal Scream.
The track, which was a part of the 1991 album Screamadelica by the Scottish group, heavily sampled a speech by Fonda from the 1966 film, The Wild Angels.
Many have paid tribute to the actor today with Fonda's sister, actress Jane Fonda, saying "He was my sweet-hearted baby brother. The talker of the family. I have had beautiful alone time with him these last days. He went out laughing."
Hear both the original performance from The Wild Angels and the Loaded sample below.
