Just months after releasing the Hi, This Is Flume mixtape, Aussie dance heavyweight Flume has dropped more new music today with the release of his EP, Quits.

The collaborative project, with rapper Reo Cragun, features the already-released track Friends as well as two new songs that premiered with Zane Lowe on Apple Music's Beats 1 show overnight.

“Reo’s got a great ability to adapt to whatever’s going on musically," Flume said.

"Whether it’s something on the slower side or something high energy he’s able to complement and engage with it in a way that's quite unique.

"From the first session, we were having fun and the music was good so we kept going. It's a friendship as well. We’re friends outside of the studio so its just natural and fun to work together."

The EP release comes ahead of a number of overseas dates for Flume including Lollapalooza and Japan's Summersonic, before they Sydney producer heads home in September for Listen Out 2019.

During his chat with Lowe, Flume also gave fans an idea of what to expect at the upcoming live shows.

"I was really enjoying the time off, but now I'm really excited to get back out because we've just been doing rehearsals, and we've got this whole new show thing," he said,

"It's going to be cool. So I'm excited to show people that. I guess I'm just trying to do something different. I'm trying to maybe not just be in the same place all the time, as a little dot on stage. Maybe I'll move around. Get out the cool keytar guitar. Get out the old keytar and get them moving. Yeah, man. Maybe I'm whipping out the saxophone. I don't know."
