Channel Nine has been accused of using footage from a local music video to help promote a news story airing tonight.
9 News Gold Coast has today released a promo video for a story regarding residents "at war with Airbnb house parties", using footage from Gold Coast artist Highup's May-released clip, Listen Up.
Speaking to The Music today, Sketch Coleman of Aussie DJ duo, Bombs Away, who produced the music video with his company Australian Video Co, said the footage was taken without consent.
"Us, nor our distributors,
Coleman also claims that on the day of the shoot, police visited the set and were fine for production to continue.
"We even had cops come past and ask why we had so many cars in the street.
"We rammed them through the shoot on day one and they loved it and said 'Carry on.'"
9 News were contacted by The Music but had not commented at the time of publishing.
