Ed Sheeran is expected to own this week's ARIA charts with his new No.6 Collaborations Project but midweek figures suggest he'll have a fight on his hands to land at #1 on the Albums list.

The UK artist's new record is the favourite to debut at top spot but he'll have to fend off albums from Splendour In The Grass 2019 acts including Dope Lemon's Smooth Big Cat (top three), Thelma Plum's Better In Blak (top five) and Allday's Starry Night Over The Phone (top ten).

Sheeran's dominance will be seen more on the Singles chart with all eight new entries on the list coming from No.6 Collaborations Project - Antisocial, South Of The Border (both top 15), Remember The Name (top 20), Take Me Back To London (top 30), Put It All On Me, Way To Break My Heart, Feels and 1000 Nights (all top 50).

You should also expect to see more tracks from the record climb the chart this week including Cross Me (top ten), Best Part Of Me (top 15) and Blow (top 30).

Meanwhile, Lil Nas X will look to top the chart for the 13th-straight week with Old Town Road which would see it join Luis Fonsi & Daddy Yankee's Despacito and Coolio's Gangsta's Paradise for the longest reign on the list, only behind (you guessed it) Ed Sheeran and his 2017 track Shape Of You, which spent 15 weeks on top.
