Following on from her Aus Music Prize-winning Birds And The BEE9 release, Sydney-based rapper Sampa The Great has detailed her new LP, The Return, and a run of Australian headline dates in support.
The announcement follows extensive touring in recent years, with Sampa The Great most recently performing at Glastonbury, Dark MOFO and more, all the while trying to “find new ways of feeling at home”; a common theme throughout the forthcoming release.
"Home is described in a lot of ways and means a lot of different things to different people,” Sampa The Great said.
“I had to redefine in my mind and in my spirit what home means.”
The Return drops September 13 via Ninja Tune before Sampa The Great embarks on an Australian tour in October.
