Aussie songwriter Angie McMahon has today finally confirmed the release date of her debut album, as well as a headline tour of the country in support.
Salt is set for release on Friday 26 July via AWAL Recordings, while the Melbourne artist will hit the road in October for the national tour.
McMahon will kick off the run in her home town, before moving on to play in Canberra, Sydney, Wollongong, Gold Coast, Maroochydoore, Brisbane, Adelaide, Perth and Hobart.
To tide fans over until Salt's release, McMahon has today also unveiled the latest cut from the LP, And I Am A Woman; check it out below.
"There are all these things that our society teaches us about bodies, spaces, choices, feelings, safety, that we have to question and unlearn and do better with," McMahon said of the track.
"This song started as a heated conversation, but I had to finish it on my own and make it into music because I didn’t feel like talking, I felt like yelling. I wanted the hurting to be obvious.”
Tickets to all of the Australian dates go on sale from 10am on Friday 28 June. For more details, head over to theGuide.
