With a Peabody award win and an MTV Movie & TV Award nomination under her belt already this year, Hannah Gadsby has continued to impress US audiences, this week being announced on The Hollywood Reporter's influential '40 Most Powerful People in Comedy' list.
The Tasmanian comic joins a slew of huge and respected names in comedy on the list, including Adam Sandler, Ellen DeGeneres, Amy Schumer, US talk show hosts including John Oliver, Stephen Colbert, Conan O'Brien and Jimmy Fallon, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Judd Apatow, Bill Hader, Mindy Kaling and Kevin Hart.

The news comes as Gadsby tours her new show, Douglas, through the US following its premiere in Melbourne earlier this year. She will bring Douglas back to Australia in December.
Meanwhile, Douglas is confirmed to be coming to Netflix next year following the global success of Gadsby's last show, Nanette.
“I’m so excited to announce today that Douglas will be released on Netflix in 2020," Gadsby said last month.
"I’m really enjoying touring with the live performance, but there will be places in the world that I won’t be able to visit, so it’s wonderful that Netflix will bring the show to every corner of the globe."
