Splendour In The Grass 2019 is officially a sensory overload, with some seriously epic food and drinks being confirmed as part of the festival’s collaboration with iconic Bondi restaurant Icebergs Dining Room And Bar.

After stunning patrons in 2018, restauranteur Maurice Terzini will return to the festival this July for a special 100 seat pop up dining experience that offers a custom menu, special selection of wines, bespoke cocktails and more.

The Icebergs pop up will take place at numerous times across the weekend and will be “positioned in a private and picturesque backstage location overlooking a lake”.

Each sitting will take two hours and will feature a menu created by Icebergs’ Executive Chef Monty Koludrovic, focusing on Maurice’s Italian roots, with vegetarian and vegan options also on offer, while the beverages are overseen by Matthew Whiley of Scout Sydney and London and James Hird of Icebergs Group.

“Finally we have Icebergs at Splendour, something we’ve been gunning for years,” Splendour In The Grass co-producer Jessica Ducrou said.

“I love not only Monty’s beautiful food and Matt and James’ sublime drinks, but Maurice’s vision as he presents the most amazing intersection of incredible dining, shit hot music and cool art to boot. The perfect partner in crime, and such an honour, we look forward to the start of some great collaborations in the years to come.”

Ticketholders to the pop up will also have access to Icebergs’ Italo Dining & Disco Club on the Sunday from 11pm – 2am.
