Are you in high school and either a solo artist, producer, rapper, or in a killer band? Putting us all to shame with your ridiculous talents at such a young age? Then triple j want to hear from you because Unearthed High entries are now open.
All you need to do to enter is upload an original piece of music to triple j Unearthed before midnight Monday 29 July.
The winner of the competition will be flown to triple j to record, mix or master their music which will subsequently get radio play on triple j and Unearthed. The winner will also get invaluable industry advice and a visit to their school.
First Nations artists will also be able to win a songwriting workshop at their school by the APRA AMCOS Songmakers program and an ongoing mentorship from the Association of Artist Managers (AAM).
Now in its 12th year, previous winners of Unearthed High include the likes of KIAN, Arno Faraji, Tia Gostelow, Gretta Ray and Japanese Wallpaper.
On winning Unearthed High, 2018 winner KIAN said it “100% sparked a major change in [his] life".
"The day I found out I had won I was feeling a lot of things," he shared.
"Excitement, happiness, wonder, embarrassment (because I got pranked at my school) … But I also felt as though something happened, a piece of my puzzle that is life clicked into place and I felt the beginning of something that was going to impact my life forever."
