It's been a big week of tour announces. From The Dandy Warhols to The Flaming Lips to Scene & Heard Festival, all this live music goodness has us saying, "Goodbye savings, we hardly knew ye."

It's also got us thinking about gig etiquette, a topic of great contention, thanks to a viral Twitter thread started by UK radio presenter Leona Graham. Earlier this week she asked the Twitterverse for the definitive rules of going to watch a band and from phones to tall people, most of the responses were what you might expect from the light-hearted debate.

With artists taking matters into their own hands, Jack White going as far as banning phones at recent shows, and talk of being considerate vs acting entitled, perhaps it's high time we wrote the rulebook for good gig etiquette.

Check out a selection of "rules" below and let us know what you think they've missed.

Rule One - Thou shall not film above thy head

Rule Two - Thou shall not chuck pints of piss

Rule Three - Thou shall respect those who have camped out for prime real estate

Rule Four - Thou shall pick up fallen soldiers

Rule Five - Thou shall embrace the pit

Rule Six - Thou shall respect the support acts

Rule Seven - Thou shall wear anti-perspirant

Rule Eight - Thou shall not talk through sets

Rule Nine - Thou shall lower your brightness and not use flash

Wherever you stand, tall or short, at the end of the day, we can all agree it comes down to a pretty simple premise. Don't be a dick.
