The Australian Music Industry Network (AMIN) has confirmed two new appointments following its annual general meeting.
QMusic's Joel Edmondson has stepped down as Chair with Music NSW's Emily Collins stepping up from Deputy Chair into the role. WAM's Mike Harris will take over as Deputy Chair while Music SA's Lisa Bishop will remain Secretary.
QMusic's Angela Samut and MusicACT's Daniel Ballantyne have also joined AMIN as new members.
“I’m thrilled to take on the role of Chair for AMIN as it’s one of the few truly national music organisations with representation in all states and territories," Collins said of her appointment.
"It has a grassroots, ground-up approach to music development and I’m committed to working with my state colleagues to improve the health and sustainability of the music ecosystem through keeping artists at the heart of everything we do”.
One of the key focuses for AMIN in 2019 is the National Musician’s Live Remuneration Survey which will reportedly launch in July this year. According to MusicNSW "the survey will focus on the economics of live music from an artist’s perspective and provide valuable insight for AMIN and the broader industry on how to support artists through an ever-evolving market".
