Adelaide's Umbrella Winter City Sounds festival is back for another year and it's shaping up to be a big one.

The 2019 event, which celebrates and showcases South Australia's best artists, is a two week long festival in July across 250 events and 111 venues.

This year's event will be kicked off with an opening night party at Adelaide's Topham Mall, headlined by the legendary Archie Roach. Kingswood, Luke Million, Circles and Girls Rock Adelaide will also be performing throughout the festival.

“Umbrella Winter City Sounds provides the perfect opportunity for the public to see some of the best local artists South Australia has to offer," says Premier Steven Marshall, "and I encourage everyone to get out and see just how strong our music scene is."

“This program is so important to contemporary musicians in South Australia. It is an opportunity for artists at all  stages of their career to perform as part of a significant festival, while audiences can experience the talent that warrants our status as a UNESCO City of Music," says Music SA CEO Lisa Bishop

Umbrella Winter City Sounds takes places from 12-28 July, head to their website for all the info.
