Forget The Avengers: Hannah Gadsby Has Scored An MTV Movie & TV Award Nomination

If superhero fatigue is a thing then Hannah Gadsby is here to save the day, with the Aussie comic scoring a Best Real-life Hero nomination at the 2019 MTV Movie & TV Awards.

The nominations for the June event have just been unveiled, with Gadsby’s worldwide Netflix stand-up hit Nanette seeing her recognised alongside some of the biggest names in Hollywood as Game Of Thrones, Avengers: Endgame and more also score nods.

The Best Real-life Hero category also features Serena Williams, WWE’s Roman Reigns, US lawyer and jurist Ruth Bader Ginsburg and rock climber Alex Honnold – a line-up we would love to see take on Thanos.

It’s the first year MTV has included the category, and the winner will be crowned on June 18, with Shazam! star Zachary Levi hosting the ceremony live from 11am AEST.
