Hannah Gadsby Nominated For Prestigious Peabody Award

After a breakout year in 2018, Aussie comic Hannah Gadsby is set for an even bigger 2019 with news that she's been nominated for a Peabody Award.

The Tasmanian comedian has been recognised in the Entertainment category for her Netflix special, Nanette, alongside shows like HBO's Barry, Killing Eve, The Americans, The Good Place and The End Of The F***ing World.

Previous winners of the category include Last Week Tonight With John Oliver, Better Call Saul, Veep and Saturday Night Live.

The news comes after Gadsby premiered her new show, Douglas, in Melbourne late last month. 

Following a run of shows in the US, Gadsby will return home in December to perform in Hobart, Canberra, Sydney and Melbourne once again. For a look at all of the dates, click on theGuide.
