A brand new music show that will see everyday Australians work with some of the country's best industry professionals is set to launch on TV this week.
Coming to ABC this Tuesday, The Recording Studio will offer participants "the chance of a lifetime, to help them professionally record the one song that means more to them than any other. It’s a place where stories can be told and captured forever".
Narrated by Megan Washinton, the 10-part series will also feature appearances from names like Guy Sebastian, Katie Noonan, Mark Opitz, Charles Fisher and Shane Nicholson.
The Recording Studio is filmed at ABC's famous Studio 227, home to triple j's Like A Version and Live At The Wireless.
"Across 10 episodes the audience intimately get to know each person and the reason behind their recording," ABC said in a statement.
"This behind the scenes look at what it takes to record a song is at times humorous, at times heartbreaking, but always moving, with the talent of these normal Aussies awe inspiring."
Episode one of The Recording Studio airs at 8pm on Tuesday 16 April on ABC and iView.
