Australian sound pioneers nura have announced world-first music optimised specifically for its Nuraphone headphones.

In collaboration with artist-run music label Spirit Level, a limited edition record featuring music by Braille Face and Happy Axe, Mir/Mythologies, will be released worldwide tomorrow in line with Record Store Day 2019.

"Music is at the core of everything we do here," nura Creative Director Joel Priestland said.

"We wanted to collaborate with local producers and artists by creating music with the Nuraphone, specifically for listening on the Nuraphone.

"Spirit Level seemed a natural fit as the homegrown label is known for developing creative voices."

Spirit Level curator and triple j presenter Tim Shiel said the label's artists are all about "exploring sound".

"It's that idea of music in full colour that nura talks about that we're trying to achieve at Spirit Level."

Mir/Mythologies will be available at select record stores in Melbourne, London and LA from tomorrow. For more details, click here.
