Bluesfest have certainly delivered with their 30th anniversary line-up and now that the festival is only a week away, we thought it was time to put together our collaboration wish list.

We've got our fingers crossed that these artists might have it in their hearts to get together on stage and give us some of those magic collabs that Bluesfest has become known for.
Mavis Staples & Hozier
Staples, Hozier and their very powerful voices joined forces for Hozier's track Nina Cried Power late last year, and if that 'Ellen' performance is anything to go by, they would surely tear the roof off a Bluesfest tent if they did a surprise appearance together.
Ocean Alley & George Clinton & Parliament Funkadelic
We want the funk and this combo would all kinds of deliver it.
Iggy Pop & The Saboteurs
1. We really want to see this.
2. Given that Iggy & ol' mate Jack kinda go way back (White's Third Man Books published Pop's autobiography Total Chaos: The Story Of The Stooges/As Told By Iggy Pop in 2016) so we think it's actually kinda possible.
3. RIP us if it does happen.

Kasey Chambers & Paul Kelly
Paul Kelly inducting Kasey Chambers into the ARIA Hall Of Fame last year pretty much smashed our hearts into tiny little pieces. The only right thing for them to do would be to bust out a few tracks together at Bluesfest to help put it back together. Here's a suggested setlist - KC takes From St Kilda To Kings Cross, PK does Not Pretty Enough, they both join in for Darling It Hurts...
Snarky Puppy & Melbourne Ska Orchestra
Melbourne Ska Orchestra has 26 members and Snarky Puppy are rocking around 19 at the moment so we really just want to see 45 people up on stage at the same time to see what happens.
Ben Harper & Deva Mahal
So, it turns out that Ben Harper actually played a big part in Deva Mahal being added to the Bluesfest line-up, with organiser Peter Noble telling the Newcastle Herald that, "Ben Harper called me on the phone, and said, 'I just played the Montreal Jazz Festival and I've just seen a star.'" That's more than a good enough reason for a collab in our eyes.
The 30th anniversary Bluesfest kicks off one week from today in Byron Bay, New South Wales. For all the info on the festival, head to theGuide.
