A brand new music festival will launch in Brisbane next month and it's founded by one of the city's best bands.
Eight-piece outfit Halfway will bring together the first-ever Autumn Fall Festival, to go down at The Triffid on 25 May, and feature live performances from acts like Even, The Predators, Dumb Things, Adele Pickvance & The Chandeliers, Sunny Flynn Hugo, Ben Ely, Jen Mize, Hillsborough and Sue Ray.
Autumn Fall will host two stages on the day and be MC'ed by Brisbane writer and TV presenter, Clinton Walker.
"Bands that Halfway love and admire like Wilco, My Morning Jacket, The War and Drugs and the Decemberists have all started and created their own festivals which they come back and play and curate each year," a statement issued today reads.
"The 2019 Autumn Fall bands are indie and/or alt-country and are a mixture of young talent whom Halfway appreciate such as Sunny Flynn Hugo, who guitarist John Willsteed taught at uni, or are successful established artists bands such as Even whom Halfway have admired for a long time."
