July is going to be a scorcher, with annual festival Dead Of Winter unveiling some serious talent as part of its second artist announcement, including local legends and death metal heavyweights Disentomb, New Zealand sludge metal maestros Beastwars and more.

The festival’s 10-year celebration on July 13 will feature 60 bands (plus sideshows) across six stages across The Tivoli precinct and The Jubilee Hotel complex.

Joining the aforementioned new acts – and previously announced headliners such as Cog, Mammal, 28 Days and Bodyjar – is Truth Corroded, Singapore’s Truth Be Known, Earth Caller, Tai Sui, The Heart & Dagger, Lila Luxx, Dolly De Ville, Dhalia Dyer, Darkcell, Minus Life, Vitals, The Lou Dogs, The Wrath, I Am Duckeye, Horace Bones, Whisky & Speed, Swamp Gully Howlers and Patient Lounge.

"The growth of heavy music and in turn Dead Of Winter festival over the last few years has been astounding,” Dead Of Winter Festival Creative Director Christian Tryhorn said.

“What, only three years ago, was a 1200 cap single-venue event is now a 4000 cap Australian mainstay and one of the largest gatherings of heavy bands in the country.

“We're all stoked to be bringing Brisbane a mighty fine line-up once again and keen to see DOW sell out as it moves from strength to strength on the back of solid local and national support."

The third and final line-up announcement will drop in the coming weeks; check out theGuide for more details.
