Melbourne’s Italian Cultural Institute has unveiled two very exciting shows for next month.

In mid-April, Italian violinist Marco Fusi and Australian musicologist Ian Parsons will come together to “discuss the foundations of a creative performance practice of Scelsi’s music”, before acclaimed group Riccardo Tesi & Banditaliana perform at the venue later that month.

Celebrating their 25th anniversary, Riccardo Tesi & Banditaliana will bring The History Of Bella Ciao to Melbourne on April 25, which “celebrates the end of the fascist regime and the end of the Nazi occupation of Italy in 1945”.

Meanwhile, Improvising With Scelsi will see Fusi perform a number of captivating works.

Both South Yarra events are free and you can find more information via the Italian Cultural Institute website.
