The Grass Roots Indie Development (GRID) series has today opened applications for artists and bands in Brisbane's south-west.
The program has been a Victorian-based initiative since 2013 but will expand in 2019 to emerging music communities within the outer suburbs of Sydney, Brisbane and Perth.
It will see four successful applicants in each state receive a one-on-one session with an established songwriter, record with a renowned producer and be mentored by a music industry expert to discuss all things career and strategy.
The Brisbane program, announced today, will include sessions with Nick Lynagh from Mirror Music Group (Gang of Youths, Middle Kids), Sarah Chipman from Title Track (Manu Crooks, Didirri, Gretta Stanley) as well as songwriting development from Konstantin Kersting (The Belligerents and Mallrat), with Yanto Browning (Kate Miller Heidke) and Ariel Blum (Lara Andallo, St Ives) on production duties.
The program has also revealed the four Western Sydney finalists as Srisha Sritharan, Chris Neto, Clarissa Mei and Ilisavani Cava.
