He's been dubbed "The Voice Of Freddie" and now Marc Martel is heading to Australia with The Ultimate Queen Celebration.

Martel's vocals were recently used in the Freddie Mercury Bohemian Rhapsody biopic, where his voice was used in conjunction with actor Rami Malek's and Mercury's recordings.

“Rami Malek couldn’t replicate Mercury’s singing voice," producer Graham King told Rolling Stone. "The solution was to take recordings from Queen master tapes, with additional vocals recorded by Canadian singer Marc Martel.

"Literally, you could close your eyes and it’s Freddie and that’s a very tough thing to do."

Martel then spent two months in the iconic Abbey Road studios, recording vocals alongside Malek, and will now return to Aus in August this year to perform classics from the Queen songbook.

The tour kicks off in Perth, before heading to Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne. Tickets go on sale from Monday 18 March, check out theGuide or scroll down for all the info on dates, locations and tickets.
