Perth psychedelic rockers Pond have soared onto the ARIA Albums chart with their latest studio album, Tasmania.

The band’s eighth LP has debuted at #15, which is where Man It Feels Like Space Again came in upon release in 2015.

The Music described Tasmania as a “cinematic experience, and the standard to which all artists should strive when creating their album”.

The highest album debut overall this week goes to Hozier, as his new record, Wasteland, Baby!, lands at #8, while Solange’s surprise album When I Get Home comes in at #17, Tom Walker’s What A Time To Be Alive gets #18 and Lil SkiesShelby and Bryan AdamsShine A Light debut at #20 and #21, respectively.

Another notable local placing comes from Sydney trio Mansionair, who have debuted at #37 with their first album Shadowboxer, while The Prodigy’s The Fat Of The Land has re-entered the Albums chart at #34 following the passing of Keith Flint earlier this week.

Over on the Singles chart, the Jonas Brothers have soared into #5 with Sucker, following their surprise reunion last week.
