Michael Jackson's famous Neverland Ranch is back on the open market after two years at a drastically reduced price.

As CNN reports, the late singer's former Santa Barbara home has been listed for $US31 million, almost 70% less than its $US100 million asking price in 2015.

The 2,700-acre property was pulled off the market in 2017 at an asking price of $67 million and remained off following wildfires and mudslides in the area.

"Everyone pulled back for about a year in general," agent Kyle Forsyth said.

It comes as the controversial Leaving Neverland documentary is set to air in the US this weekend, before it hits TV screens across Australia on 8-9 March on Channel Ten.

Leaving Neverland explores the experiences of two men - Brisbane-born Wade Robson and James Safechuck - who alleged they were abused by the late singer when they were children.

The Jackson estate slammed the documentary following its premiere, saying in a statement, "The film takes uncorroborated allegations that supposedly happened 20 years ago and treats them as fact".

Last Sunday night, over one million viewers tuned in to competing investigations into allegations made against Jackson on Seven and the Nine Network.

Meanwhile, Oprah Winfrey is confirmed to host a panel discussion following the airing of the second part of Leaving Neverland on HBO, where she will interview Robson and Safechuck.
