Rolling Blackouts Coastal Fever aren’t slowing down for a second, today unveiling new single In The Capital and a run of headline dates throughout March – May in support of an upcoming 7-inch.
The new cut from the Aussie rockers follows a whirlwind 12 months, with the band dropping their acclaimed debut album Hopes Down back in June, which was supported by dates across the globe.
In The Capital will feature on a limited edition 7-inch alongside Read My Mind, set for release on April 26.
“I first had the idea for the melody and some of the lyrics when I was swimming,” Fran Keaney said.
“It’s taken a while to finish the song, to make it feel like the initial feeling. I can’t neatly describe it, but something like connection despite distance. I was thinking about transience and water and death and big cities and fishing towns and moon river.”
