Revered local artist manager and Little Giant Agency’s Danae Effern has been announced as the recipient of the 2019 Fast Track Fellowship, a joint initiative from the Victorian Music Development Office and Association of Artist Managers.
The manager of Bec Sandridge, Press Club and more, Effern will relocate to London for two months to work within music company ATC Management (PJ Harvey, Metric, Keaton Henson).
"I am absolutely over the moon to be awarded the Fast Track Fellowship,” Effern said.
“Being stationed in London for two months will be an incredible experience and a fabulous opportunity to connect with the music industry in the UK and Europe.
“An opportunity that will not only benefit myself but that of the artists I represent. I am extremely grateful to AAM, the VMDO and the Victorian Government."
VMDO General Manager Bonnie Dalton said Effern was “perfectly placed to take on all of the challenges and make the most of every opportunity that this Fast Track Fellowship will offer her”.
“There’s a really clear strategic approach to Danae’s Fast Track Fellowship, from her choice of host company with ATC Management, to the targets she’s set herself in terms of outcomes,” Dalton said.
“Her growth through this Fast Track Fellowship will not only benefit Danae and her artists, but the local industry as a whole and we can’t wait to see everything she’ll achieve.”
