Three new live music spaces have opened up to bands and artists across Sydney.

As part of City of Sydney and House of Pocket’s inaugural Live at the House program, performers can apply to put on shows at intimate venues Mister Pocket (Darlinghurst), Button Bar (Surry Hills) and Pocket Bar (Terrigal) throughout the year, with music, comedy, cabaret, circus, magic, spoken word and “anything else weird and wonderful” encouraged.

The new program has been “designed to increase the variety of live performances available in Sydney and surrounds by offering a stage and next to no performance rules” and will see successful applicants take 100% of ticket sales for their respective gigs.

The shows will operate from 10pm til midnight Monday – Thursday and 4pm til might on Sundays, with established acts able to apply for performances outside of those times.
