Australian singer-songwriter Dean Lewis has announced his long-awaited debut album will drop next month with a supporting tour confirmed for May.
Following the release of global hit Be Alright last year and 7 Minutes more recently, the Sydney artist’s debut LP, A Place We Knew, will drop on March 22.
“All the songs were written through relationships I’d been in and houses I used to live in and hotel rooms,” Lewis said of A Place We Knew, a title inspired by a phrase he heard on a flight.
“An in-flight-radio DJ said, ‘I wish that was a place we’d known about’ I went to my notes and wrote ‘A Place We Knew’ and was like, that’s the album title. That ties everything together.”
The album tour kicks off in Sydney before moving on to Brisbane, Adelaide, Perth and Melbourne.
