Want to turn your passion for gaming into a career? Our friends over at Abbey Road Institute Australia have you covered with their Sound Design for Game Audio short course.

The eight-week intensive evening course in Melbourne is open to all levels of experience and will equip you with the knowledge and skills you need to thrive in a rapidly growing industry.

“Our aim is to see that every student gains an understanding of all aspects of the games industry, from pre-production, to middleware implementation and delivery,” Abbey Road Institute Australia said.

“We begin with the fundamentals of game making, creating asset lists, and managing resources, before moving into game-production mode.

“In this mode, we’ll venture into Unity 3D, a popular game engine that is used through the industry from the smallest startup to larger companies.

“We’ll then spend a decent portion of the course in Wwise, implementing parts of the game that we create ourselves, to take it from an idea to a fully fledged product. All of this will be peppered with time in the Abbey Road Institute studios, working to create a sound that is both detailed and professional.”
