Now just under a month out from the 2019 SXSW Festival, some more massive and emerging local acts have been invited to the Texas event.

Sydney songwriter Dean Lewis will head back to Austin for the second year in a row following a huge 12 months, which saw his track Be Alright become a global hit and chart at #4 on last month's Hottest 100.

Lewis also performed the song on The Ellen DeGeneres Show just a few weeks back.

Also confirmed this week includes Mojo Juju (who last week made the APRA Song of the Year shortlist), Melbourne's Oh Pep! and Borzoi and Sydney's Bad Decisions.

They join already-announced Aussie acts on the line-up such as Skeggs, Wafia, WAAX, Odette, Mansionair and Angie McMahon, as well as Blush’ko (FKA Blasko) and Rachael Fahim.

The SXSW Music Festival’s 33rd event will take place from Monday 11 March - Sunday 17 March in downtown Austin, Texas. For a look at the full first line-up, check out the SXSW website.
